Sportradar taps Deirdre Bigley to serve on its global board

Longtime Bloomberg exec expected to bring knowledge of data, analytics.

Sportradar, a global provider of sports betting and entertainment products and services, on Monday said it has appointed Deirdre Bigley to the Sportradar Holding AG board of directors, effective immediately.

Bigley has been with Bloomberg since 2009, when she joined the financial data distributor as its global leader of marketing communications. She has been Bloomberg’s chief marketing officer since 2014.

At Bloomberg, Bigley was credited with designing and launching the company’s first global marketing department, and building marketing strategies for all business units.

Prior to Bloomberg, Bigley held several leadership positions at IBM, including VP of IBM Brand and VP of worldwide advertising and interactive.

Jeff Yabuki, chairman of the Sportradar global board, said in a statement, “Deirdre brings strong knowledge of building brands and working with businesses focused on complex data. She has been instrumental in driving the Bloomberg brand globally, establishing a digital-first marketing department, and recognizing the intrinsic value that technology and innovation brings to customers through its products and services.”

Yabuki said Sportradar is, “pleased to add an experienced director who understands both the opportunities within a high growth business, as well as the scale needed to further extend our industry leadership by delivering long-term growth and value for our stakeholders.”

Sportradar noted Bigley currently serves on the boards of Shutterstock, Wix.com, Slice, Recorded Future and MAKERS.

She has also received several professional honors, including AWNY Top 50 Women in Advertising, the Gertrude Crain Award for Top Women in Business Marketing, B2B magazine’s Top Marketer and Top Integrated Campaign, and Working Mother magazine's Top "Established Mom" Award.

Bigley holds a BA in English Literature from West Chester University.
