Online gaming offering will launch by end of 2021.

Sweden-based online gaming operator Betsson Group on Monday said it has signed a partnership agreement with Big Bola Casinos to bring online gaming operations to Mexico.

The two companies said Betsson Mexico will launch by the end of this year.

Offerings will include a live casino and a localized sportsbook with a range of sports and markets available. Officials said US ways of sports wagering will be featured, including moneyline bets, parlays and teasers.

Jesper Svensson (pictured), CEO of Betsson operations, said in a statement, “This is yet another expansion into the LatAm region, in which we see so much potential. As we have done in Brazil, Colombia and the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, we are teaming up with a local partner that lives and breathes the local culture.”

Emilio Quiros, director of operations for Big Bola, added, “We are happy that Betsson Group has chosen to partner with us for their operations in Mexico. We believe that our market expertise and their knowledge and experience about online gaming will result in an outstanding product for Mexico.”

Svensson described Big Bola as well suited to help Betsson understand the market and ensure that its offering not only fits the Mexican culture, but also earns the public’s trust.

“Our vision is to provide the best customer experience in the industry, and I am confident we will manage to replicate this success in Mexico,” added Svensson.

Betsson Group noted it offers local community engagements in multiple countries, including supporting Covid-related initiatives in Malta, Sweden, Estonia, Georgia and Hungary. Big Bola runs Fundación Big Bola, which supports children and youths in Mexico. It also collaborates with public and private organizations to support healthcare and crisis relief in Mexico.

With 20 brands, including Betsafe.com, Betsson.com, NordicBet.com and CasinoEuro, Betsson Group is one of the world’s largest gaming groups. It is wholly owned by Betsson AB, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm Large Cap.

Big Bola operates 20 casinos throughout Mexico.
