According to the Associated Press, the LA County and neighbouring Orange Country are one of the several to move into this tier following low Covid-19 rates and more vaccinations.
By moving into the new tier, cardroom venues and wagering facilities will be allowed to open for indoor gaming at 25% of their occupancy.
In an announcement made earlier this week, LA County stated cardrooms should adhere to these strict requirements to reduce the spread of Covid-19 within their business operations.
Naturally, each gaming table will have to be at least eight feet apart to meet Covid-19 regulations and there will also be an alcohol curfew at 10pm.
LA County also stated that “these establishments may also continue outdoor gaming with modifications”.
Cardrooms that offer separate services will also have to comply with further guidelines.
For example, venues with restaurants cannot serve food or drink at gaming tables and those which operate or lease an indoor bar, spa or other entertainment venues must keep these areas closed until each of these is allowed to reopen.
The county continued to say that while racetracks can operate with no spectators, any public events or concentrated gatherings like musical or other performances must be postponed.
