FanDuel currently operates its sportsbook platform within the MotorCity Casino, and the collaborative gaming effort will now have official partner status with the two iconic teams.
As per the agreement, the online sports betting brand will appear on static and digital signage at both the Little Caesars Arena and Comerica Park, as well as appearing in various other media verticals.
FanDuel chief marketing officer, Mike Raffensperger commented: “After a very successful launch in Michigan, we are excited to continue our momentum by partnering in this way with two of the most iconic sports organizations in the country.”
Both the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings are already marketing partners with MotorCity Casino, and the new FanDuel collaboration will continue the operators marketing presence in US professional sports.
The company is currently the official sports betting partner of the National Hockey League, but has taken a more measured approach to sponsorship within Major League Baseball. FanDuel is one of 15 gaming operators authorized by the MLB, and at present is only partnering with teams that are based in markets with active online sports betting.
