Major League Baseball’s Opening Day Thursday saw the premier of the first league-produced sports betting show, ‘Bettor’s Eye.’

The show will appear daily on MLB.TV. MLB launched the program in partnership with BetMGM, as first reported by Sports Business Journal.

Keith Irizarry hosts Bettor’s Eye, which airs at 6:00 p.m. EST.

“This is really the year for us where we start turning our attention to how we use sports betting as an engagement product,” MLB Exec VP/Business Development Kenny Gersh said, according to SBJ’s Bill King. “The first couple of years were getting all these (authorized operator) deals in place. And now it’s really to help drive.”

Bettor’s Eye is the first sports betting show produced and aired by a major American sports league.

The show includes an accompanying Twitter page, @MLBPicks.

MLB originally partnered with MGM Resorts in fall of 2018. MGM is the MLB’s authorized gaming/odds provider. Last year the league and operator developed and launched MLB Rally, a free-to-play live game app with real prizes.

BetMGM is a sponsor of MLB Quick Pick and Beat The Streak, two games featured on the league’s fantasy page.

The league has also partnered with DraftKings as its daily fantasy sports provider.
