Regional sports networks to rebrand as Bally Sports

Several Fox Sports Regional Networks will rebrand as Bally Sports beginning March 31 as part of Bally’s Corp.’s partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc.

Bally’s, formerly Twin River Holdings, signed a 10-year, $85m licensing deal with Sinclair last November that gives the operator naming rights for 21 regional sports networks (RSNs) formerly known as Fox Sports.

19 of the 21 regional networks will rebrand as Bally Sports. The remaining two networks, Fox Sports Tennessee and Fox Sports Carolina, will rebrand as Bally Sports South.

Fox Sports Arizona was one of the first networks to change its branding on social media pages. The network is now Bally Sports Arizona. The rebrand comes with a new Bally logo.

The Bally Sports app will also replace the existing Fox Sports Go app.

Bally Sports RSNs will cover 46 professional franchises including 16 MLB, 17 NBA and 13 NHL teams.

Major markets include Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Detroit.

Rhode Island-based Bally’s has significantly expanded its sports betting and DFS footprint in the past several months. The company recently acquired Monkey Knife Fight, the third-largest DFS operator behind DraftKings and FanDuel.

In March Bally’s was named an authorized sports betting operator of the NBA.
