theScore Bet named PGA Tour Official Betting Operator

Score Media and Gaming’s theScore Bet has been named an Official Betting Operator of the PGA Tour.

theScore Bet becomes the fifth OBO and first from Canada for the PGA Tour.

The PGA Tour will implement daily odds updates from theScore Bet for its audio play-by-play, streamed via SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio and other digital platforms.

Additionally theScore Bet will receive PGA Tour advertising rights and have access to the Tour’s media partners and video content rights.

“The PGA Tour is focused on engaging sports fans and Score Media and Gaming is one of the global leaders in delivering highly personalized scores, news, statistics and sports betting information,” said Scott Warfield, Vice President of Gaming at the PGA Tour. “Leveraging theScore’s vast reach via this relationship will allow the Tour to engage fans in unique and creative ways.”

The Canadian House of Commons is on the verge of legalize a single-event sports wagering bill, which could provide a boost to golf wagering if passed.

Though golf is less popular in Canada than the United States, the country has produced a number of top PGA golfers including Mike Weir and Adam Hadwin.
