Tipico Sportsbook on Thursday said it is launching a basketball-themed marketing campaign in New Jersey to tap the popularity of March Madness, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The global sportsbook operator, which entered the US market in New Jersey and plans to expand to Colorado, said it is relaunching its welcome bonus offer for first time users in the Garden State starting March 18. New registrants will get a deposit match up to $750.
Keith Gormley, Tipico’s head of US marketing, said the new ads represent the second iteration of the company’s US marketing campaign. The spots making their debut Thursday are designed to showcase how seriously sports bettors take their craft, especially during March Madness, he explained.
“For many players, the risk/reward calculation is the best part of sports betting, and sometimes the biggest risk they take is not placing a bet and missing out on the reward,” Gormley said in a statement. “Our basketball season campaign, developed with agency Öpinionated, highlights the excitement and tension that builds in those moments just before a player hits the ‘place bet’ button, and showcases how that moment enhances the thrill of the game once they do.”

Tipico noted it has partnered with Century Casinos to help the company bring its sportsbook to Colorado. Discussions to expand the brand to additional markets are ongoing, it added.
