The Old Dominion will be 10th state where app is available, pending approvals.

WynnBET on Friday said the Virginia Lottery has issued the company an online sports betting operator permit, meaning its mobile app soon will be available in the state.

WynnBET is a casino and sports betting app from Wynn Resorts. The company was launched in 2020 and is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Virginia will be the 10th state in which the WynnBET app is available, pending various regulatory and licensing approvals.

It currently is available in New Jersey, Colorado and Michigan, with market access opportunities available in Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee and now Virginia.

WynnBET was created after Wynn Resorts acquired BetBull last year.

The company noted it recently became an authorized gaming operator of NASCAR, and it’s the official online sportsbook of two headliner racetracks in Virginia – Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, and Richmond Raceway – making it a natural fit for the state.

“We appreciate the confidence the Virginia Lottery has in our ability to deliver a world-class, online betting experience for the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Craig Billings, president of Wynn Resorts, said in a statement. “We value our close relationship with NASCAR and look forward to creating a new and exciting online betting offering for NASCAR fans.”

WynnBET also has inked partnerships with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and Detroit Pistons, and said it will be announcing additional collaborations in 2021 as it expands to more states.
