CasinoReviews.net debuts US Gambling Tax Calculator in five states

London-based company, CasinoReviews.net, has launched a US Gambling Tax Calculator ahead of the upcoming 2025 tax filing season.
The company also planned the release to coincide with International Accounting Day, which is November 10.
The calculator was designed to model progressive federal brackets, along with state-level rules at launch for Ohio, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York. More states are scheduled for rollout in Q1 2026, the company said.
“Early testing shows flat-rate tools can misstate liabilities by 15–25% for common scenarios; the new calculator narrows that gap with filing-status-aware bracket math and state overlays,” the company said in a statement. “As we roll out more states and granular local rules, the experience will become even more precise. But even today, US players can get a far better estimate than with flat-rate calculators.”
Company Product Owner Nikoleta Kuncheva added, “Most calculators treat gambling taxes like a flat fee. They aren’t. We model how the IRS actually computes tax – progressive brackets plus state deltas – so estimates are meaningfully closer to what filers will see.”
New calculator features include two-layer outputs, an MVP scope for county surcharges, a progressive federal modeling by filing status and state logic that is live for New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New York.
“We validated the calculator against official IRS examples and each state’s 2025 bracket tables, then unit-tested 200+ scenarios across filing statuses,” said Christian Dimitrov, Lead Engineer. “Calculations run without storing personal data.”
