Brazil: SPA-MF authorizes TQJ to remove one of its brands

The Secretary of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance (SPA-MF) has authorized Todos Querem Jogar (TQJ) to remove its Tele Sena Bet brand from Brazil’s regulated betting market.
The decision was published in the Official Gazette under SPA/MF Nº 2.149/2025.
Although Tele Sena Bet will no longer operate, the company maintains its presence with its other brands, Bet do Milhão and Baú Bingo.
TQJ is part-owned by the holding company of Grupo Silvio Santos, one of Brazil’s largest media conglomerates, best known for owning its television network and a portfolio of consumer brands.
Beyond its domestic branding strategy, TQJ has also expanded its partnerships with major international suppliers.

Earlier this year, the company signed an agreement with Genius Sports to provide official sports data and BetVision, an immersive live-streaming product especially tailored for sports betting audiences in Brazil.
The operator also partnered with Pragmatic Play to integrate a wide range of online casino games into its offering in the country.
SPA has 80 companies that are currently authorised with 82 licences, covering 181 brands. Market dynamics have seen operators refine their portfolios as they balance consumer recognition with regulatory requirements.
