The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Bahia (MP-BA) confirmed that influencer Raquel Brito gave testimony due to her connection with an ongoing investigation into illegal gambling promotions.
The case, which has been active since January 2025, examines her alleged role in advertising so-called “Tigrinho” gambling platforms under different names.
“Tigrinho” is how the game Fortune Tiger is commonly referred to in Brazil, but the nickname has come to be used by parts of the population when describing online gambling platforms.
The inquiry is being conducted by the Consumer Defense Police Station. According to MP-BA, Brito is suspected of engaging in deceptive advertising campaigns that encouraged participation in illegal online games of chance.
Investigators are also probing possible money laundering linked to these activities and have alleged that Brito’s content specifically targeted lower-income communities, raising further concerns about the impact on vulnerable groups.

The prosecutor’s office noted that her questioning focused on clarifying the nature of her partnerships with gambling operators, the destination of funds generated, whether players actually received payouts and if the income was properly declared.
The MP-BA requested the police inquiry earlier this year to determine whether Brito’s activities violated consumer protection laws. Her legal defense is yet to issue a statement.
