Stake and Juventude host integrity workshop for players and staff

Brazilian soccer club Juventude partnered with Stake to hold a training session bringing together athletes, executives and staff.

Juventude, in collaboration with its sponsor Stake Brazil, recently organised a workshop addressing sports integrity with the aim of strengthening transparency and ethical conduct in football.

The event included professional and youth athletes from both men’s and women’s teams, as well as club executives and staff.

It was led by Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Director at Sportradar, and Fred Justo, a compliance specialist and former coordinator at Brazil’s Ministry of Finance.

The workshop explored tools and procedures to identify and report match-fixing and other integrity risks. 

According to Juventude’s President Fábio Pizzamiglio, the presence of experienced speakers helped highlight how technology has created new opportunities but also new challenges for safeguarding the credibility of football.

The initiative is aligned with Juventude’s Integrity Unit, a permanent department established earlier this season to prevent and guide conduct that may compromise sporting values. 

Stake Brazil’s Compliance Director, Barbara Teles, stated that education remains as the foundation of ensuring an ethical and sustainable sports environment.

This partnership between Juventude and Stake reinforces the growing role of betting companies in promoting awareness of integrity risks in professional sport, especially considering recent cases of players being involved in illegal match-fixing cases.
