Mendoza launches tender for private security at casinos and racetrack

The Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos (IPJyC) in Mendoza, Argentina, announced it will launch a tender to hire private security services for the province’s gaming halls managed by the agency.

The contract will also cover the racetrack, with a budget exceeding ARS 1.6m ($1,28m), with bid submissions scheduled for September 10.

According to the tender documents, the contract covers the Central Casino and its offices in Godoy Cruz, the administrative building, the racetrack facilities, all horse racing events held at the venue and any special events scheduled throughout the year.

The tender specifies that the security service will be responsible for preventing any actions that could threaten the safety of employees, visitors or property within the facilities of the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos and the racetrack. 

In addition, according to the official document, the company is expected to provide high-quality service, maintain public trust and implement preventive measures to ensure the protection of the premises.

Companies interested in participating in the tender must have at least five years of experience and be authorized by the Ministry of Security and Justice. The service is required to be provided exclusively in the areas specified in the tender documents.

Additionally, the selected company must submit a sworn statement confirming that it will not provide security services at any other casino, gaming hall, or similar facility in Mendoza, except for those operated by IPJyC during the contract period.
