New Hampshire sports betting delivers $39m to education in FY2025

The New Hampshire Lottery reported that sports betting contributed $39m to public education in fiscal year 2025.

This exceeded the $37m delivered in FY2023. Players placed over 27 million wagers amounting to more than $815m, representing nearly 9% growth in both volume and value compared to the previous fiscal year. 

The state ranks third in the US for per-capita sports betting revenue directed to state funds.

Since its launch in 2019, sports betting in New Hampshire had 107 million wagers placed, totalling nearly $4bn, which has generated more than $153m for education. 

In FY2025, the Super Bowl and March Madness were the largest single-event revenue sources, with a combined $27.5m in wagers.

November 2024 recorded the state’s highest monthly mobile handle at over $75m, generating $4.5m for public education.

“We are extremely proud to have delivered a record amount of funding to support public education, maximizing revenue to support the students, teachers and schools of our state is what drives us every day,” said Charlie McIntyre, New Hampshire Lottery’s Executive Director.

Sports betting in the state is available through one exclusive mobile operator and five retail locations, with additional venues, including a new sportsbook at The Nash Casino, expected to contribute further retail activity.

The Lottery noted that future growth could come from increased uptake of live betting options and expansion in retail wagering.
