Fanatics Betting and Gaming has agreed to a multi-year licensing agreement with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to produce and distribute WWE-themed online casino games for players in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The titles will be produced by Fanatics Game Studios in partnership with Boom Entertainment and Games Global, featuring new releases such as WWE Blackjack, Raw Multiplier Melee, Smackdown Big Money Entrance, WWE Bonus Rumble Gold Blitz and WWE Clash of the Wilds.
Each game is set to be released prior to the end of July, according to Fanatics, and in time for WWE’s SummerSlam event which will take place in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 2 and 3.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with WWE to now include an exclusive portfolio of WWE-themed online casino games,” Fanatics Betting and Gaming CBO Ari Borod said.
“This is a natural extension of the WWE-Fanatics partnership which already includes global e-commerce, licensed merchandise, memorabilia, as well as producing and distributing a growing lineup of digital shows.”
Good to know: Fanatics Betting and Gaming chose to institute a $0.25 per bet transaction fee for all wagers placed within Illinois on July 2 as a response to state legislation that will enforce a similar fee on all operators for the first 20m bets placed by users
To celebrate the SummerSlam event, Fanatics Betting and Gaming will introduce a WWE-branded “takeover” of its Fanatics Casino platform, featuring exclusive sign-up offers and a spin-to-win offering.
Earlier in July, Bragg Gaming expanded its US content footprint by partnering with Fanatics Casino for a multi-state launch of its full catalogue of games and remote gaming server (RGS) technology in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
