Michigan regulator awards gaming license to Incentive Games

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued B2B games provider Incentive Games a professional gaming license, effective immediately.
The company said this approval will permit it to give operators across the state access to its suite of Real-Money Games.
Incentive Games said in a statement, “The Michigan license represents Incentive Games’ first foray into the North American regulated market.
“This comes shortly after the launch of Incentive Studios, the company’s dedicated Real-Money Gaming division, which is set to drive its ambitious growth in this sector.”
Incentive Games Chief Commercial Officer Ahmed Baker expressed his enthusiasm for the new opportunity.
He commented, “Securing our Michigan license marks an exciting new chapter for Incentive Games. It’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to meeting the highest regulatory standards and unlocks a significant opportunity for us in a critical North American growth market.
“This will allow Incentive Games to forge new partnerships and bring our highly engaging Real-Money Games directly to players in Michigan. Operating an unlicensed gambling business in Michigan is a felony per state law.
According to the state penal code, “Gambling, which involves payment based on the outcome of an uncertain event, is prohibited under state law.”
It is also illegal to accept money “with the understanding it will be paid based on a game of chance.”
