Maryland casino revenue falls 1.4% in June 2025

Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported the state’s casino revenue throughout June 2025, including a total of $160.7m which represents a decrease in revenue of 1.4% from the prior year period.
Maryland’s six privately owned casinos offer both slot machines and table games to eligible residents, such as MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino & Hotel, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Ocean Downs Casino, Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino Resort.
MGM National Harbor managed to generate a June 2025 revenue of nearly $67.2m, the highest of any property in Maryland, but still reported a decrease of 1.4% year-over-year while Live! Casino & Hotel produced $59m of casino revenue and fell by 2.4% from the prior year period.
Ocean Downs Casino was the only casino in Maryland to report an increase greater than 1% year-over-year, having generated close to $8.5m for a rise of 4.3% from the prior year period.
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore and Rocky Gap Casino each managed to produce increases in casino revenue for June 2025 as well, growing by 0.8% and 0.04% year-over-year, respectively, for totals of $14.2m and $4.6m. Hollywood Casino Perryville generated a June 2025 revenue of $7.2m, which represents a decrease of 3.7% year-over-year.

Casino gaming contributions to the state were reported to be just over $68.5m throughout June 2025, decreasing 1.9% from the prior year period and $49.4m of which was donated to the state’s Education Trust Fund.
Revenues from the properties located in Maryland also support the communities and jurisdictions in which the casinos are located, the state’s horse racing industry and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
