Century Casinos joins forces with BetMGM in Missouri via sports wagering partnership
The long-term agreement will bring sports betting options to players statewide.

Century Casinos has signed a long-term agreement with BetMGM. Under the terms of the deal, Century Casinos will work with BetMGM to bring the operator’s sports wagering to platform to players in Missouri.
Through the partnership, BetMGM will run its online and mobile sports betting app in Missouri under Century Casinos’ state license.
“The agreement includes a percentage of net gaming revenue payable to Century, with a guaranteed minimum, as well as retail sportsbook options to be exercised at Century’s discretion,” Century Casinos said in a statement.
However, the agreement is subject to gaining the necessary approvals and licensing.
Century Casinos Co-CEOs Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger said in a joint statement, “We are excited to partner with BetMGM, a leading online sports betting and gaming entertainment company with a dynamic and innovative brand.
“This partnership is another step forward in leveraging our Missouri licenses and delivering premium entertainment experiences for our customers.”

Since then, regulators have been working to establish the commercial market and are looking at a December 1 launch date.
To get the market in place, the state regulator will need to draft regulations that would later require the Governor and the Secretary of State’s approval.
The gaming commission could then issue gambling licenses after a 30-day public input period has passed.
Currently, 38 states and the District of Columbia offer some form of legal sports betting. The market has grown significantly since the Supreme Court overturned PASPA in May 2018.
