Maryland casinos generate $162.6m for April 2025

Maryland Lottery and Gaming has released the state’s gaming revenue generated throughout the month of April 2025, falling by just 0.3% for a total of $162.6m, including $70.6m in contributions to the state.
Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
Maryland’s six privately owned casinos currently offer both slot machines and table games, including MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County, Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County; Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.
MGM National Harbor generated the highest revenue total of any property in Maryland for April 2025, reporting just over $68.6m for an increase of 0.8% year-over-year. While Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland was a close second by producing $58.9m of revenue throughout the month, the figure represents a decrease of 3.2% from the prior year period.
Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino were the two other Maryland properties to report a decrease in revenue year-over-year, as Hollywood Casino Perryville fell by 0.6% to $7.9m and Rocky Gap Casino decreased by 4.1% from the prior year period to nearly $4.1m.

Video lottery terminals (VLT) generated nearly $115.3m of the state’s gaming revenue throughout April 2025, while table game revenue managed to account for the remaining $47.4m. Of the $70.6m contributed to the state for April 2025, over $50.9m was allocated to the Education Trust Fund, representing an increase of 1.1% from the prior year period.
