In celebration of its 30th anniversary on May 2, San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino held an event for the hotel’s owners, XLD Investment, government officials and corporate partners as a showcase for the achievements garnered throughout the past three decades.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate these 30 years of history and success. The San Juan Marriott has been a symbol of hospitality and elegance for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, and we will continue to be a key destination for both the community and visitors,” San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino GM Mariano Formariz said.
“This anniversary not only celebrates our legacy but also our commitment to continuing to innovate and offer exceptional experiences.”
The evening began with a cocktail hour followed by a reception featuring live music provided by Ramón Vázquez and Friends, offering a repertoire of blended Latin jazz and Caribbean rhythms.
The property’s ballroom was transformed into an immersive setting featuring green tones, tropical foliage, exotic flowers, golden accents and wooden textures.
The color green reportedly helped symbolize the 30th anniversary, evoking a sense of growth, renewal and hope, values that “reflect the hotel’s evolution as a community anchor and a symbol of resilience and innovation in the heart of Condado.”

Additionally, the hotel collaborated with the Kroniko Arte project as well as artists Luis “Güillo” Cruz Martes and Steven Rivera López on the design and production of a commemorative silkscreen print, which pays tribute to the hotel’s history and its connection to the city.
