Arizona sports betting handle reaches $864.2m during January 2025

The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has released the state’s sports betting results from January 2025, including a rise in handle of 22.3% to generate $864.2m, with mobile betting representing $857.9m of the total.
The $83.6m of adjusted gross wagering receipts (AGR) operators managed to generate throughout January 2025 equates to an increase of nearly 20.6% year-over-year. FanDuel led the way with almost $34.8m of AGR produced throughout the period, while DraftKings represented a close second with $26.5m of AGR during January 2025.
With retail having only generated $6.3m of handle throughout the period, only BetMGM and Caesars reported retail AGR during January 2025, including totals of $70.4k and $34.7k, respectively. DraftKings and FanDuel also reported retail handles throughout the period, but the AGR generated by both operators stemmed from online wagers.
BetMGM also managed to produce the third highest AGR of any operator within Arizona, reporting over $9.8m, while Caesars and Fanatics sportsbook both generated AGR totals of $3.4m throughout January 2025.

FanDuel and DraftKings combined to generate over half of the state’s total handle during the period, with FanDuel reporting approximately $288m of handle throughout January 2025, while DraftKings managed to account for nearly $272m of the total figure.
BetMGM was the only fellow operator to eclipse the $100m mark in handle for the month, while Fanatics generated $55.6m, Caesars reported $48.3m and bet365 accounted for an additional $42m of handle.
