Kansas reports $39.1m March casino revenue

The Kansas Lottery has published its casino revenue results for the month of March.
Last month, the state posted $39.1m in revenue from its four land-based casinos. The total in March reflected a nearly 1% increase in revenue year-over-year.
Kansas Star Casino took the lead last month as the facility with the highest revenue total, outperforming Hollywood Casino. The destination reported nearly $15.3m in revenue during the month of March.
However, Hollywood Casino followed closely behind last month with $15.2m in total March revenue. The casino reported a more than 1.5% increase in its revenue year-over-year.
Boot Hill Casino and Kansas Crossing Casino reported more than $3m in revenue last month, posting totals of $4.4m and $3.7m respectively.
The state also posted its year-to-date totals for the fiscal year. So far, Kansas casinos have generated $310m, reflecting a 2% increase when compared to results posted a year ago.
Hollywood Casino has the highest year-to-date revenue, with its total reaching $125.2m, with Kansas Star Casino as the runner up bringing in $120.4m so far for the year.
Good to know: While land-based casinos are legal throughout the state, Kansas has yet to legalize iGaming
To date, online gaming is legal in some form in seven US states, although some of those have limited access, such as online poker only.
States with legal iGaming access include Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Connecticut.
