Momentum continues as Bally’s took over the Tribune Freedom Center site back in July 2024, paving the way for its permanent casino resort.
Bally’s Chicago Casino proudly welcomed its two millionth visitor, Delphia T. from Chicago, IL. Delphia walked into the historic Medinah Temple location and was awarded a grand prize in celebration of this major milestone for the property.
Since opening its doors in September 2023, Bally’s Chicago Casino has become one of the most popular gaming destinations in the state, attracting a steady stream of both new and returning guests. The casino continues to grow in popularity, drawing visitors who enjoy its diverse entertainment offerings and welcoming atmosphere.

As part of their grand prize, Delphia received $1,000 in cash, $1,000 in Community Rewards gift cards, and a Chicago-curated gift basket. Additionally, all guests visiting Bally’s Chicago Casino the day of the milestone were gifted a complimentary Bally’s t-shirt while supplies lasted. Guests also had the chance to win up to $200 in Free Play by participating in the 2M Spin & Win from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

The development is set to transform the Chicago riverfront with a 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat theater, six restaurants, a food hall, and a 2-acre public park. The casino will feature 3,300 slots, 173 table games, VIP gaming, and a 2,000-foot riverwalk extension. This project will create approximately 3,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent positions once it becomes operational.
