The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has published its sports betting results for the month of February. The regulator reported a $756.9m sports betting handle for the month.
Players during the month wagered $726.7m online, while retail locations took in another $30.2m in bets for players.
Sports betting revenue last month reached $33.9m during February. Online sports betting generated $36.8m in revenue.
However, retail locations reported a revenue loss of nearly $2.9m.
Pennsylvania sports betting contributed $2.5m in state taxes, with another $0.1m for local taxes.
In other state news, the control board recently approved two consent agreements from the Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC), which resulted in $81,575 of total fines issued.
Presque Isle Downs & Casino operator PID, LLC received both fines. The first was a $50,000 fine for “having less than the approved number of active slot machines on the floor.” The second fine totaled $31,575 and was brought against the company for “failure to timely file a Principal License application.”
The control board also denied nine people requests for removal from the regulator’s self-exclusion list.
Self-exclusion lists are put in place to prevent people from entering casinos within the state or participating in gambling activities through Pennsylvania’s legal iGaming sites.
The regulator said it took action against three individuals “who left a minor or minors unattended while gambling in a Pennsylvania casino.”
The PGCB said in a statement, “Actions such as these to deny statewide gambling privileges serve as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended in the parking lot or garage, a hotel, or other venues at a casino since it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children.”
