Freedom Plaza unveils new renderings of east-side Manhattan project

Freedom Plaza has released a new video and updated renderings of the proposed east-side Manhattan project, offering a detailed look into 4.7-acres of green space, two hotel properties and residential housing.
Developed by Soloviev Group and designed by Big-Bjarke Ingels Group, Freedom Plaza encompasses 6.3-acres from 38th to 41st Street east of First Avenue.

In addition to the green space, the mixed-use development will feature two residential towers, shopping and dining options, a daycare center, a museum, two hotel properties developed by Mohegan and Banyan which are set to include casino offerings for guests.

Soloviev Group will finance and guarantee the long-term maintenance, security and programming of the park, while a local steering committee will be formed to offer guidance in attracting the general public and ensure ongoing access for community groups.
Designed by OJB Landscape Architecture, Freedom Plaza would also include an 18,000 sq ft central lawn, 1.2 miles of accessible pathways, children’s play area, amphitheater, scenic overlooks and more.
