The deal will help support GNOG’s launch in Michigan, with Scientific Games providing its in-house gaming content and game features, along with customized branded games for Golden Nugget’s online casino in the state which is available to players via Goldennuggetcasino.com.
Alongside the casino content, players in Michigan are now able to bet on sports online for the first time through the supplier’s OpenSports platform. While within the next few weeks, GNOG will introduce the platform in New Jersey further strengthening the operator’s entry into the US online sports betting market.
Last week, GNOG announced it was launching its online casino and sportsbook in Michigan from 22 January, after the vertical was legalized in the state. Nine operators were authorized by the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) to begin offering online sport wagering on the day of 22 January, including DraftKings, William Hill and FanDuel, with PointsBet also launching since.
