Key points:

- The re-certification assessment reported that Scientific Games has globally demonstrated a “strong commitment” to responsible gaming practices

- Scientific Games originally achieved WLA certification during 2015, becoming one of the first lottery providers globally to do so

To show continued dedication towards responsible gaming efforts, Scientific Games has achieved re-certification for the World Lottery Association (WLA)’s Responsible Gaming Framework Certificate of Alignment for its global operations and technology.

Scientific Games originally achieved WLA certification during 2015, becoming one of the first lottery providers globally to do so.

"Scientific Games celebrates our WLA global re-certification as it re-affirms our steadfast commitment to responsible gaming innovation and ethical business practice across our operations and technology," Scientific Games CEO Pat McHugh said.

"We are dedicated to advancing our Healthy Play program so that we can continue to give our lottery customers tools and best practices to strengthen the impact of their responsible gaming efforts by cultivating greater public trust through increased lottery literacy."

WLA's responsible gaming certification framework includes research, employee programs, product and service development, remote wagering channels (including iLottery), advertising and marketing communications, client awareness, stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Good to know: Scientific Games finalized the launch of its PlayCentral self-service lottery terminals at select Iowa Lottery retailers on March 3

"We commend Scientific Games for unwavering dedication to responsible gaming continuous improvement through a commitment to education and awareness programs for operators and players, as well as ongoing and meaningful stakeholder engagement," WLA Senior Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Mélissa Azam.

"Scientific Games has championed best-in-class integration of responsible gaming research and tools into online platforms. This reflects a thorough understanding of the company's responsibilities as a gaming supplier committed to harm minimization and ethical gaming practices."

The re-certification assessment reported that Scientific Games has globally demonstrated a “strong commitment” to responsible gaming practices with an approach “embedded in the day-to-day execution” of product development and sales efforts.
