Douglas Harrison promoted to Director of Slots at MotorCity Casino Hotel

Harrison is set to bring over 23 years of technical and operational experience to his new role, having originally joined MotorCity Casino Hotel as a Technical Shift Manager in 2001.

MotorCity Casino Hotel has promoted Douglas Harrison to Director of Slots, where he will continue advancing the property’s strategy of providing players with “unique and exceptional” gaming experiences.

Harrison first joined MotorCity Casino Hotel in 2001 as a Technical Shift Manager before advancing to roles such as Slot Manager and Project Manager, having led slot projects and developed strategies to enhance both operational efficiency and technical performance.
“Douglas’ deep understanding of the Slot Operations and Slot Technical Departments positions him to lead every aspect of this critical area of the casino, ensuring sustained excellence and growth,” MotorCity Casino Hotel SVP of Casino Operations Stacey Young said.

MotorCity Casino Hotel is the only locally owned and operated casino in Detroit, Michigan. Marian Ilitch became the sole owner of MotorCity Casino Hotel in 2005, embarking on a $300m expansion and renovation project which was completed during 2008.
The entertainment complex now comprises a gaming space which includes the FanDuel Sportsbook at MotorCity Casino.
Harrison is also a US Army veteran, holding an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Central Texas College and electronic technician certification.
