Key points:

- The well-known rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform to cap off the day’s celebration, with tickets for the show going on sale January 17

- Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino is one of six casinos currently owned and operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida

The new Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino will officially open its doors on February 6 with a grand opening ceremony for invited guests as well as a performance from well-known rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Guests will be allowed into the property shortly after the ceremony, with tickets for the concert going on sale January 17.

"We are all eagerly awaiting our official opening on February 6," Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino GM Marty Johns said.

"It will be such a special moment for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Brighton Seminole Reservation, and the entire region. This new resort is expected to increase the number of tourists to the area, which is especially important. We are excited to offer a new level of gaming, dining and entertainment."

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino will replace the existing Seminole Casino Brighton, which was first opened in 1980. The new resort will include nearly 38,000 sq ft of casino space, with players having access to 640 slot machines and 18 tables for blackjack, craps, roulette and other house-banked card games.

Good to know: The Seminole Tribe of Florida and Hard Rock International donated $1m to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton on October 14

The property will also feature a smoke-free gaming space with 104 slot machines and a high-limit gaming area with 42 slot machines and four table games.

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino will include the first hotel to open on the Brighton Seminole Reservation. The property is located just west of Lake Okeechobee on the Reservation.

The new resort is the most recent member of the six casinos currently owned and operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and has become one of the Lake Okeechobee region's largest employers. Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino has already added more than 500 team members and is still filling positions ahead of the grand opening ceremony.
