Konami Gaming unveils partnership with BC Lottery Corporation

Konami Gaming has announced a new collaboration with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) that will see the supplier develop the next generation of BC Gold slots across the province.
As per this new arrangement, Konami will supply the BCLC with the next iteration of its signature slot – BC Gold – to a total of 27 casino destinations spanning across British Columbia, Canada’s fifth largest province. Now, Konami is contractually obliged to put together a total of 245 new video slot machines by the spring of 2027, as is underlined in the pair’s partnership arrangement.
This development sees Konami Gaming become the first organization to re-develop BC Gold as a video-slot game.
Speaking on the partnership announcement, Steve Sutherland, President and CEO of Konami Gaming, stated, “This agreement is a significant milestone in many years of gaming entertainment partnership between BCLC and Konami Gaming, as we seek to introduce fresh technology improvements, new engagement, and contemporary appeal to the much-loved BC Gold brand. Our Konami team is focused on complete fulfillment on expectations as we work closely with BCLC to create the future of BC Gold.”

Last year, the supplier also went live in Argentina via Casino Club in September, following on from an additional development which saw Konami also launched on Caesars Digital in New Jersey and West Virginia in July.
Also commenting on this latest collaboration was Dan Beebe, BCLC CEO, who said, “Since 1999, BC Gold has represented positive community impact and big jackpot potential for millions of guests across British Columbia, as BCLC’s own custom-created wide area progressive.”
“Following an extensive, 7-month VRP review process, BCLC is excited to begin development on the next generation of BC Gold slots in partnership with the highest ranked provider for game design, win celebration feature, business/technical requirements, and overall fit: Konami Gaming.”
