Giannantonio stated on September 23, 2024 that the transaction was finalized on September 1, but that neither company would be revealing the purchase price.
Good to know: On September 4, locals reports stated that the Pamunkey Indian Tribe will collaborate with Boyd Gaming on a new casino project in Norfolk, Virginia
“We are confident that this transaction will propel Resorts Digital’s proven success over the past decade to a new level through the scale of Boyd Interactive and its market-leading platform,” Giannantonio said in his announcement.
Boyd added in a statement that the purchase “is consistent with Boyd Gaming’s strategy of building a profitable regional iGaming business integrated with our existing nationwide portfolio.”
Resorts Digital has continued to operate under the sports betting and internet gambling licenses held by Resorts Casino and kept its relationship with other online gambling partners including DraftKings, Penn Gaming, PokerStars and ESPN Bet.
