The Cordish Gaming Group has announced the appointment of Greg Hinton as the VP of Finance for the company’s new Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana property set to open during the first quarter of 2025.
Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana will represent the first landside casino to launch in the Shreveport-Bossier market, costing over $270m to complete and announcing that its grand opening ceremony will be held on February 13, 2025.
“Greg’s extensive experience in finance and operations will be invaluable as we prepare for our early 2025 opening,” Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana EVP and GM John Chaszar said.
“His leadership will be instrumental in shaping a world-class gaming and entertainment experience that will redefine the industry in Northwest Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex region.”
Hinton joins Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana after most recently serving as the Galveston Area Director of Finance for Landry’s. Previously, he has also served as CFO for Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack, Coushatta Casino Resort in Lake Charles and Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

In his role as VP of Finance, Hinton will oversee financial operations across key departments, including accounting, analytics, casino cage operations, finance, income and revenue auditing. He will be tasked with leading financial strategy, development and operational management while providing critical insights to guide the financial health and performance of the new resort.
Hinton has also held significant leadership roles including President and GM of Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa in Greenville, Mississippi, VP and GM at Penn National Gaming and various executive roles with Caesars Entertainment and Harrah’s Entertainment.
Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will showcase over 47,000 sq ft of gaming space upon opening with more than 1,000 slot machines, 40 live-action table games and a sportsbook.
