Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has announced the appointment of Thomas Winter to the company’s Board of Directors, having gone into effect on December 16. Winter’s hire means RSI’s Board of Directors returns to nine members as stated by the company.

“His proven track record in the online gaming industry and his strategic vision will be invaluable as we continue to expand our footprint and enhance our offerings. We look forward to his contributions and are confident that his expertise will help drive our future success”.
In 2013, Winter founded Golden Nugget Online Gaming, serving as President of the company until it was sold to DraftKings for more than $1.5bn. He also helped to develop DraftKings’ multi-brand online casino and led its online casino business until September 2023.
Before founding Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Winter was the CEO and Director of Betclic as well as Expekt, an online gaming brand within the Betclic Group.
Good to know: RSI reported the company’s financial results for the third quarter of 2024 on October 30, with revenue increasing by 37% year-over-year for a total of $232.1m
On October 31, RSI launched its online poker platform in the state of Pennsylvania in collaboration with poker pro Phil Galfond.
The online gaming and sports entertainment company has broadened its North American market reach to include Ontario, Canada, as well as in Colombia and Mexico in recent years.
