Chris Kelley appointed as President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon

Most recently, Kelley served as President and COO of MGM Resorts International Northeast Group, where he oversaw operations at MGM Springfield and Empire City.

Hard Rock International has brought on Chris Kelley to serve as the President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, a new destination in Kern County, California scheduled to open in late 2025. 

Kelley will report directly to Hard Rock International COO Jon Lucas in his new role. Most recently, Kelley served as President and COO of MGM Resorts International Northeast Group, where he oversaw operations at MGM Springfield in Massachusetts and Empire City in Yonkers, New York.

"A veteran of the casino and resorts space, we are so excited to have Chris join our team and lead operations at the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon set to bring premier gaming and live entertainment experiences to the growing Kern County area," Lucas said. 

"We are confident Chris will bring forth his innovative and extensive background in finance and operations, ensuring continued growth and excellence for Hard Rock's leadership in the gaming industry."

Prior to his role with the Northeast Group, Kelley served as President & COO of MGM Northfield Park, where he helped open the property with the highest gross gaming revenues in the state. Additionally, Kelley led all finance operations as CFO of MGM Detroit.
