Mobile sports betting generated nearly $719.6m to the state’s total handle, while retail locations brought in more than $12.5m.

Players placed the bulk of Arizona’s mobile bets with several major operators during the month of September. Caesars, DraftKings, BetMGM and FanDuel were the top earners during the month and took in more than $600m in wagers.

DraftKings took the top spot as the highest earner in September. The operator took in more than $260.4m in online bets, plus an additional nearly $3.5m in wagers from its retail locations.

FanDuel followed closely behind and collected $231.5m in total bets during the month.

The state’s operators ended the month with close to $77.4m in total revenue.

Arizona has welcomed legal sports betting outside of Tribal gaming for nearly three years. The state first legalized sports wagers in April 2021 after Governor Doug Ducey signed the bill into law. The state debuted its sports wagering market in September 2021.
