MGM Resorts, USO and American Airlines partner for 14th annual Salute to the Troops

Taking place at Mandalay Bay, the event will honor more than 100 active-duty service members who have been injured in the line of duty.

MGM Resorts is set to partner with the United Service Organization (USO) and American Airlines for the 14th annual Salute to the Troops event, beginning on November 8 and running for five days. Salute to the Troops honors active-duty service members who have been injured in the line of duty, with more than 100 soldiers set to be celebrated this year. 

Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will play host to the event, with MGM stating that it remains committed to supporting military members and their families year-round. 

In partnership with USO, American Airlines will fly the honored guests and their families to Las Vegas for an extended holiday weekend with MGM providing accommodations, meals, entertainment and other amenities free of charge.

Following previous Salute to the Troops events, hundreds of MGM Resorts employees, community partners and supporters will gather to greet the group during a special “Wall of Gratitude” welcome procession at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Salute to the Troops will feature a variety of activities, events and excursions throughout Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, including a welcome dinner, tours of the Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon, a visit to Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium, Luxor’s Blue Man Group and more.

MGM was recently honored with the Extraordinary Employer Support Award by the US Department of Defense and is a member of the Veteran Jobs Mission, a coalition of companies aiming to place one million US military members and veterans into meaningful and rewarding careers.

The USO is a nonprofit organization that looks to strengthen the US’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service to the Nation.
