The Illinois Gaming Board has released its statewide casino revenue report for the month of September. Adjusted gross receipts during the month totaled $139m across Illinois’ casinos from slots and table games.
Slots during the month brought in a total of $107m in revenue, while table games contributed nearly $32m to the overall total.
The state also celebrated the first full month for its Hard Rock Casino Rockford permanent destination, which opened to the public at the end of August.
Last month was the new casino’s first full month of operation. During September, Hard Rock Casino Rockford generated $13.7m in revenue.
Rivers Casino yielded the largest revenue total for the month, with the total reaching $41.5m. other heavy hitters in September included Hard Rock Casino Rockford and Bally’s Chicago, which is currently operating as a temporary casino until the company completes its permanent location.

Bally’s Chicago posted a revenue total of $10.3m during the month of September.
Bally’s said it anticipates opening a permanent Chicago casino by 2026. The new venue will be home to 4,000 gaming positions, as well as to an exhibition hall, 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat theater and 10 restaurants.
The state’s casinos contributed close to $43m in tax payments last month. More than $37m went to the state share, with another $9m going out for the local share.
