Key Points:
- Michigan players can now access Octoplay’s slot games
- This is the supplier's first entry into the US
Octoplay has secured a provisional license in Michigan.
With this license, the supplier will be able to introduce its slot games to players in the Great Lake State.
Not only does this news mark Octoplay’s launch in Michigan, it also means it will now make its first foray into the US altogether, as it seeks to expand throughout the country.
Octoplay in the last few months has expanded throughout Europe, while it has also previously already launched in North America having secured a supplier permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario back in December; in July it partnered with NetBet to bring its online games to Mexico.
Octoplay Chairman Gavin Hamilton said: "Obtaining the Michigan provisional license marks the beginning of our entry into the United States, a key market for our future growth. We look forward to bringing our premium products and games to American players, starting in Michigan.
"While we've seen great success in European markets recently, our entry into the US represents a new chapter for Octoplay.
"We're committed to establishing a strong presence in the American iGaming landscape, leveraging our experience in regulated markets to deliver exceptional gaming experiences to US players and operators."
In other news from the state, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) this week issued cease-and-desist letters to Ace23 and Ace Per Head for illegal gambling activities.
