William Hill US on Tuesday unveiled its sportsbook app in Washington DC after receiving approval by the D.C. Office of Lottery and Gaming.
The company opened a pop-up sportsbook at Capital One Arena in July. The new app will be available for use within a two-block radius around Capital One Arena, but not in federal buildings.
The mobile app now is available for download on any Apple or Android device. It can be used for a variety of bet types, the company noted, including parlay cards and live in-play wagering.
The app also includes a registration process and various options to deposit and withdraw funds.
William Hill said it plans to open a full-service sportsbook and restaurant at Capital One Arena early in 2021.
The operator is the exclusive sports betting partner of the Washington Wizards, Washington Capitals, Washington Mystics and Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
William Hill has expanded from Nevada to operate in more than 160 locations across 14 states. The company now offers mobile sports betting apps in eight US jurisdictions (Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nevada, New Jersey, West Virginia and Washington, DC) since launching its first mobile offering in 2012, and powers the trading services for the Rhode Island Lottery mobile app.
The company is also the licensed sports betting provider for numerous casinos in Mississippi and New Mexico, and is the exclusive risk manager for the Delaware and Rhode Island sports lotteries.
