Pennsylvania regulator fines Evolution $7,500 over unauthorized live dealer studio access

The control board also added three adults to its exclusion list for leaving minors unattended while gambling.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has issued a $7,500 fine to a local operator after approving two consent agreements sent by its Office of Enforcement Counsel.
The board held a public meeting to levy the fine against Evolution US.
The company received the fine for “permitting an unauthorized person to gain access to its live dealer studio in Philadelphia.”
The control board said that an unidentified male entered several areas on the Evolution property, including an employee changing area.
In addition to the fines issued, the board responded to issued petitions to ban three adults from the state’s casinos “for leaving minors unattended in order to engage in gaming activities.”
All three incidents involved children under 13 years old. In all three incidents, the minors were left unattended in a vehicle while the adult was inside a casino gambling.
The regulator said in a statement, “The board’s actions serve as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended in the parking lot or garage, a hotel or other venues at a casino since it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children.
“Leaving minors unattended at a Pennsylvania casino also subjects the offending adult to criminal prosecution in addition to exclusion from all Pennsylvania casinos.”
The PGCB regulates various forms of gaming around the state, including video gaming terminals (VGTs), slots, table games, iGaming, sports betting and fantasy contests.
In other PGCB news, the regulator recently teamed up with several state organizations to raise public awareness regarding problem gambling during National Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
The PGCB partnered with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania (CCGP), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), the Pennsylvania Lottery and an individual in long-term recovery on the project.
