Actor Jason Alexander joins Playtika for WSOP VIP player event

Playtika’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) app hosted an event featuring well-known actor and poker enthusiast, Jason Alexander, exclusively for VIP players of the free-to-play service.
Alexander spoke of his love for the online and table card game, having said, “Poker has always been a passion of mine and getting to compete and trade poker tips and tricks with an impressive group of players was thrilling.
“It was a pleasure to partner with and participate in Playtika’s WSOP player event that honors its wonderful VIP app players.”
Alexander and the WSOP brand have been partnered since he debuted as the spokesperson for the mobile game in December 2023. Playtika unveiled a number of campaigns featuring recognizable stars such as Alexander during this time.
During the event, held at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, guests were given the chance to speak to poker professionals, engage in a backstage tour of the WSOP game hall and play a game with VIP players.
“We’ve been dealt a winning hand, working with Jason. As an avid poker player himself, Jason knows all about the thrill of the game and there is no one else that better represents our commitment to bringing joy, excitement and thrill to others as they start their poker journey with the free-to-play WSOP app,” WSOP App GM Guy Ceder said.
Regarding the WSOP brand, Caesars Entertainment announced on August 1 that it would be selling the intellectual property rights for WSOP to the NSUS Group (NSUS) for $500m. NSUS operates GGPoker and will pay $250m in cash at the time of transaction, while a $250m promissory note is due five years after the closing date.
As a part of the transaction, Caesars secured the right from NSUS to continue hosting the WSOP’s flagship live tournament series at its Las Vegas casinos for the next 20 years.
