Bring the noise! Sphere gets green light to exceed Clark County noise limits

The Paradise Town Advisory Board has approved a motion to allow the Sphere to exceed the noise limitations previously set by Clark County, according to a recent Las Vegas Review-Journal report.
The board voted in favor of the allowance by 3 to 1.
The Sphere will now be permitted to “to emit loud noise until midnight on 18 occasions throughout the year.”
However, local residents living in a high-rise apartment complex called Park Towers voiced their disapproval of the new stipulation.
Though the advisory board has given the green light for the Sphere to exceed local noise limitations, the Clark County Planning Commission will have the final say in the matter.
The commission is expected to review the matter September 4.
Several notable musical acts are scheduled to perform at the Sphere Stage’s T-Mobile Zone this November during the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will run from November 21 to November 23.
This year’s headliners include global superstars Ludacris, Alesso and OneRepublic. Other acts that will take the stage during the race include Chromeo, DRAMA, Kaleena Zanders, MEUTE, The Beaches and TOO MANY ZOOZ.
OneRepublic will perform on Thursday, November 21. Alesso will take the stage Friday, November 22, and Ludacris will headline on Saturday, November 23.
The Sphere stands 366 feet tall and is 516 feet wide. The dome’s exterior is covered with 580,000 square feet of fully programmable LED panels.
The venue opened last September and welcomed U2 as its headlining act throughout last fall and winter. The Sphere also offers VIP suites and private seating. The venue has a seating capacity of more than 17,000.
