FanDuel Group announced it is appointing veteran executive Chris Jones to the role of Vice President of Corporate Communications.

In his new position, Jones will oversee the company’s financial performance in coordination with parent company Flutter Entertainment, direct FanDuel’s responsible gaming messaging strategy, expand brand partnerships, and lead the company’s diversity and social justice platform.

Jones arrives at FanDuel with 25 years of experience in business and financial communications. Most recently, he served as Global Chief Communications Officer for IGP Mediabrands and before that worked as Chief Marketing Officer of Sizmek.

He also has senior executive experience at Madison Avenue agencies and began his career at ESPN Networks.

“Chris is a measured and seasoned executive with strong crisis management skills and experience communicating complex business issues,” said Matt King, Chief Executive Officer, FanDuel Group. “As we continue to be a leader in the evolving landscape of legalized sports wagering, I am delighted to have someone with his depth and breadth of experience on our team.”

Jones joins FanDuel two weeks after Flutter struck a $4.2bn deal to fasten its control of the online sports gaming company.

Since the announcement of the deal, Flutter has been trading at record high prices -- 101.71 USD by late Tuesday.
