Fanatics Betting and Gaming has officially launched the Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino in New Jersey, where sports fans can now download the Fanatics Sportsbook app on any device.
New Jersey residents were previously placing wagers through PointsBet, but the company’s US businesses were acquired when PointsBet and Fanatics Betting and Gaming completed a deal in April 2024. PointsBet customers’ username, password, account balance, rewards points and responsible gaming settings will be automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook. New Jersey is the final PointsBet state and marks the 20th state for the Fanatics Sportsbook and fourth state for Fanatics Casino. PointsBet had been outperforming sportsbooks such as DraftKings in the state, so Fanatics will be entering the market with a leg up on the competition.
The Fanatics Sportsbook is now available to approximately 95% of addressable online sports bettor markets in the US.
The Fanatics Sportsbook features a navigation experience the company believes can rival any sports betting app currently available, FanCash that users can collect for rewards, live betting and a one wallet feature where residents of New Jersey can travel to other states such as New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut to still place wagers on the app.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming will also launch its new online casino, embedded in the Fanatics Sportsbook app as part of the New Jersey announcement. The Fanatics Casino will feature a range of casino games like roulette, slots and blackjack. The app will also feature games from IGT PlayDigital, Evolution and Light & Wonder as well as the Fanatics Game Studios where users can play Fanatics Blackjack, developed in partnership with Boom Entertainment.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming most recently launched its sportsbook in Illinois, following its entrance into the sports betting markets of Kentucky and Arizona as well.
