The Cordish Companies releases update on Live! At The Pointe Orlando destination

The 73,000 square-foot entertainment space is set to open this fall.
The Cordish Companies has unveiled details for its Point Orlando destination that is scheduled to open this fall.
The company’s 73,000-square-foot dining and entertainment destination will be rebranded as Live! At the Pointe Orlando and offer guests 37,000 square feet of outside gathering space.
Live! Plaza, the destination’s outdoor centerpiece, will be home to year-round festivals, special events, live music and sports watching.
The company outlined what guests can expect once the location opens in a statement, “Live! At the Pointe Orlando will bring an unmatched food and beverage, social, nightlife and special event experience to Orlando’s tourism corridor when it opens this fall, creating a unique block party atmosphere for locals and tourists alike.”
In addition to the previously announced Sports & Social and PBR Cowboy Bar dining options, Cordish said the rebrand will bring with it a Houndsmen English Lounge and Shark Bar.
Company Principal Reed Cordish elaborated further by saying, “It is incredibly exciting for The Cordish Companies to unveil more details about our highly anticipated dining and entertainment destination in Orlando, starting with the naming of the project under our flagship Live! brand.
“We are proud to continue working with Brixmor Property Group to bring a world-class experience to Pointe Orlando. Live! at The Pointe Orlando will be a game-changing development for Orlando’s tourism corridor and is sure to become the premier destination for both locals and tourists.”
In other company news, Cordish recently secured the winning bid for a pending casino project in Petersburg, Virginia. Cordish and BSE proposed a $1.4bn project that would utilize 92 acres off Wagner Road in south Petersburg.
Cordish was selected over several other notable companies, including Bally’s Corporation, Penn Entertainment, Rush Street Gaming and the partnership of The Warrenton Group and entertainment company Delaware North.
However, the project must pass a referendum scheduled in November before Cordish would be able to break ground.
