The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four Winds Casinos has promoted Raquel Buari to the role of EVP of Administration. Prior to moving into this position, she served as the company’s SVP of Human Resources and Compliance.
Buari, a citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, is the first female to hold the EVP of Administration title. She earned her Bachelor’s from Ball State University and holds a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law.
Throughout her career, Buari has held several roles with Four Winds Casinos, including Legal Affairs Administrator, Director of Compliance, Director of Legal Affairs, Vice President of Compliance, and Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Compliance.
She has also served in other capacities involving the South Bend Area Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, where she is a member. Buari is also part of several boards, including Beacon Memorial Hospital, South Bend Civic Theatre (Treasurer), the National Council on Problem Gambling, the Indiana Council on Problem Gambling and the Michigan Association on Problem Gambling.
Four Winds Casinos COO Mary Smith said the operator is excited to welcome Buari into her new position.
