Elys BMG Group has successfully installed its sportsbook at Washington DC’s The Ugly Mug restaurant and bar. This marks the fourth sportsbook Elys has established in the DC area.
The official opening is subject to the District of Columbia Office of Lottery and Gaming’s (DCOLG) final approval.
The company said in a statement, “This collaboration underscores Elys’ commitment to providing unparalleled sports wagering experiences for small and local businesses across America.
“The Ugly Mug is poised to become a premier destination in the Navy Yard area of Washington DC ensuring convenient access for sports fans and bettors to enjoy a classic American menu in a casual atmosphere, further enhancing the neighborhood sportsbook experience provided by Elys.”
The recent installation follows a series of Elys Sportsbook launches within the District of Columbia.
Elys said it aims to “become a global leader in the gaming industry through the development of pioneering and innovative online casino and sportsbook software.”
The company recently celebrated opening its latest Grand Central location on H Street ahead of this year’s March Madness tournament. Elys held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 21 to commemorate the location’s grand opening.
The company focused on extending its online sports betting reach into multiple US jurisdictions during the last quarter of 2023 and said that additional launches are expected to happen later this year.
Elys said it will continue to specifically focus on growth within US states under direct licensing through its market access partnerships.
Elys BMG Group offers its clients a wide variety of omnichannel gaming options, including online sports betting, e-sports, virtual sports, online casino, poker, bingo, interactive games and online slots. The company currently operates in three US states, along with the District of Columbia.
