Tipico Sportsbook was recently awarded an Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) accreditation in the states of New Jersey and Ohio. The company earned this award for “best practices in customer protection.”
The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) issues the iCAP accreditation based on the Internet Responsible Gambling Standards. This award is the highest standard for online gambling player protection in the country.
Tipico Sportsbook was recognized because of its recent holistic and long-term initiative, Fair Play Pledge launch. The pledge was designed to closely align with iCAP’s standards.
Fair Play Pledge gives players access to 24/7 human customer service, the Tipico Help Center, cool-off periods and limits.
“Tipico has also implemented a phase-based approach to recognize, help, and educate customers who have exceeded its ‘Responsible Gambling Automated Thresholds,’” the company said in a statement.
Tipico SVP – Compliance & Legal Bryan Schroeder commended the team for its work toward safety and clarity.
He commented, “iCAP accreditation is a meaningful award for Tipico because it validates our approach to make fair play a companywide initiative that requires buy-in by our employees. I am incredibly proud of our team for rallying around our efforts to continuously improve safety and clarity,
“Our primary goal is to ensure customers have the best possible experience when they place a bet because they trust us and our products.”
NCPG Executive Director Keith Whyte noted the significance of Tipico’s achievement, saying, “Tipico Sportsbook's iCAP accreditation is a testament to their dedication to player protection. Through this achievement, Tipico showcases exemplary leadership and a commitment to responsible gambling best practices.
“We commend Tipico for the unwavering commitment to the safety of their users and for setting an exemplary standard for the industry.”
