Americas Cardroom (ACR) will give poker players in Southeast Asia a chance at a $100,000 prize package through its Spectacular Southeast Asia contest. ACR will run two qualifiers on February 12 and February 19. Super satellites will run during the week leading to the event.
The event’s four winners will have access to attend ACR’s Super High Roller Series from March 7 to March 13 in Vietnam.
The company said in a statement: “Each Vietnam package contains more than $100,000 to spend on tournament buy-ins, five nights’ accommodation at the luxury KHOS Hoiana Resort, round-trip business class airfare and VIP airport transfer.
“Vietnam will provide a stunning backdrop to an incredible week of poker and travel.”
Package winners can choose how they wish to use their $100,000 winnings. Options are available to split the funds between several tournaments or to use it all for the $100,000 entry tourney.
Americas Cardroom Team Pro Chris Moneymaker took a moment to reminisce about qualifying for the event more than 20 years ago.
Moneymaker commented: “I can’t quite believe how epic this prize is. I was lucky enough to satellite my way to a prestigious event in 2003 and my life has never been the same.
“I’m so stoked that thanks to ACR, four of you will get to be part of this incredible experience and maybe see your life change forever too.”
Along with the qualifiers, ACR will create a series of challenges for its Team Pros and Stormers stream team to finish during the next month. ACR will give an additional $100,000 package to two Team Pros or Stormers winners.
